You must have heard that distilled water is the cleanest water. Don't think distilled water is mysterious. In the kitchen, the boiling water pot is giggling, and water droplets are constantly dripping down from the lid of the pot. These water droplets are distilled water. To put it more broadly, the warm sun evaporates thousands of tons of water into clouds, and the raindrops that fall after encountering cold are also distilled water. However, ordinary rainwater is not clean because along the way, raindrops "recruit people"-dissolving a lot of gases, absorbing a lot of dust and bacteria, and getting dirty again. In the laboratory, people use a special condensation device to collect water vapor and obtain very pure distilled water.
Why is distilled water so clean? This is because when water boils, only water vapor escapes and evaporates, while dirt such as dust, minerals, and bacteria can only be dried in the pan. They will not evaporate and have to stay obediently. So, when you use a condenser pipe to condense water vapor into water, there will be no dirty things in the water. However, the distilled water obtained in this way can only be said to be relatively "clean." In chemical laboratories, the resulting distilled water is often redistilled once, twice, or even seven or eight times. Sometimes I am not at ease, so I have to use an ion exchange column to purify it again to produce water with almost no impurities-ion exchanged water.
Since distilled water is so clean, I'll drink distilled water every day. Maybe you will think so. In fact, just as eating white rice every day is unhealthy, drinking distilled water for a long time is also unhealthy. Because rice is ground into white rice, the precious vitamin B in rice bran will be lost, which will cause beriberi. Similarly, drinking distilled water every day, because distilled water loses the minerals contained in ordinary water, will also cause people to get sick due to lack of minerals.
What is the best water to drink? Drink boiling water! Because in boiling water, most bacteria are killed, but those precious minerals still exist, which is beneficial to the human body. In some places, the water quality is polluted and unclean. People add minerals to distilled water to make artificial mineral water as drinking water. You can also use distilled water as drinking water while eating dishes containing minerals.
